A Surprise for a Roommate

One of my daughter's college roommates is celebrating Chanukah. But she is away from home during this very special season.  Knowing how disappointed her friend is about being away from her family during Chanukah, Jessica decided to surprise her with some holiday cookies and decorations for her room. She asked us to bake some of her own favorite cookies, and then asked if we could decorate some cookies that would be appropriate for Chanukah.

Here are the cookies she gave to her roommate in appreciation for her friendship. (Oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips and walnuts, and decorated sugar cookies with a hint of almond)

Best wishes for successful final exams to you both, and for an especially meaningful Chanukah celebration to Stephanie and her family!

Wishing all of our friends happy holidays with their families!

  1. Thank you so much for the cookies! They were delicious and I loved the decorations (on the cookies and in my room). You are all so sweet and this gift was such a nice (and scruptious) surprise for Chanukah! I am so happy Jessica and I are roommates and I hope you and your family have a wonderful winter break and New Years!
